Seeing Spells Achieving www.seeingspellsachieving.com is a program founded by Olive Hickmott and Andrew Bendefy based on the communication tools of Neuro-Linguistic Programming [NLP] that teaches people with dyslexic, dyscalculic, dyspraxic, autistic, ADD, ADHD, and Asperger's tendencies how to implement their existing visual skills to seeing words and numbers.
Since people with the abovestated tendencies are missing the visual reference, which prevents successful spelling, reading, and comprehension of read material, Seeing Spells Achieving gives them logical, common-sense step-by-step howtos of learning to visualize words and numbers.
The learning path begins with demonstrating to the individuals in question that they already possess sufficient visual skills by getting them to visualize someone / something they like, such as a favorite person, activity, hobby, interest, or place. The next step is visualizing simple [initially three-letter] words on their related objects as a single picture in the individuals' mind's eye, followed by reading the word, spelling it forwards and spelling it backwards. The final stage of the learning path, preceded by a suitably long period of sufficient practice of this procedure, is to let the related object go and thus see the word on a plain background as a single picture in the individuals' mind's eye.
